Remix and Remixability

I’m guessing everyone already knows that all these resources are available around the world, but its comforting to know that all of that info is becoming still more readily available. I like how Lev defines remixability: “remixability [is] a transformative process in which the information and media we’ve organized and shared can be recombined and built on to create new forms, concepts, ideas, mashups and services.” I also agree with him when he says that this applies to things outside of design and music, and can be stretched as far as culture: “most human cultures developed by borrowing and reworking forms and styles from other cultures; the resulting remixes were to be incorporated into other cultures.”
